Mrs. Alexis Escobedo (Barrera)

My name is Alexis Escobedo (formerly Barrera) and I have been teaching at LCE since 2012.  I was born and raised in Houston and attended school in FBISD.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Go Coogs! I am certified in Texas from Early Childhood-6th grade, ESL, and I'm currently the first grade GT teacher. 

I am married to my wonderful husband, Luis, and have 2 daughters, Emilia and Elisa. It has truly been a blessing to be in such proximity to LCE, my two parents and the neighborhood I have always called home. My teaching experience with children includes first grade and second grade. 

The passion for teaching that I possess motivates me each day to work for the benefit of all children. I look forward to working with you all to make this a successful year. Go Lions!
