My name is Karen Pinto, and I am so excited to return to Madden Elementary to teach 1st grade again this year. I graduated from the University of Houston—Go Coogs! I am certified to teach Early Childhood through 6th grade, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL).

This is my 9th year in education and my fourth year at Madden. Before joining the Madden family, I taught 2nd and 3rd grade in another district. This year, I’ll focus on Math and Science, two subjects I love bringing to life in the classroom.

One of my greatest joys as a teacher is helping young minds grow. I believe every child is full of potential, and I’m passionate about creating a classroom environment that nurtures curiosity, confidence, and a strong growth mindset. It's a true privilege to teach your child. 

Outside of school, I’m blessed with a wonderful husband and two adorable sons. I also love spending time with my big family, listening to music, dancing, and traveling.

I’m looking forward to a fun-filled year of learning, growing, and creating special memories with our amazing Huskies!
