"Family is everything". I have 3 grown children and a number of grandchildren. I humbly admit that I somehow inspired all of my children to complete a college degree and select amazing professions in marketing, business admin, and engineering. My children in turn encourage my grandchildren to do the same.

I worked in business (HR, bookkeeping, inventory, taxes) in Germany and the US for many years. My favorite were smaller companies because you can wear a lot of different hats. It never gets boring, but there was always an aspect missing and I did not know what it was until I entered education by chance and luck. I started out with the little ones (2-3 years), teaching at private schools, then charter school, and ended all the way up to second grade. As a part-time job, I taught ESL to adults in China. In 2023, I began working for Fort Bend ISD as a substitute in special ed classrooms. I loved it so much that I stayed, finished my Special Ed certificate, and now I am teaching ECSE, and I am a member of the Madden Family. We all have a path to follow. As my son would say, "everything happens for a reason."
