Hello Madden Families! My name is Ellen Payne, and I'm so excited to be starting my second year here at Madden Elementary. This school year also marks my 17th year of teaching overall. My first year at Madden was truly an amazing experience, and I'm eagerly looking forward to another fantastic year.

I genuinely love being a part of this community. There's such a strong sense of camaraderie among all the teachers, staff, and administrators, who are simply phenomenal. And the parents are incredibly supportive! Before coming to Madden, I taught for 11 years in Alief ISD. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the Philippines and have earned credits towards a Master’s in Special Education. After relocating to the U.S., I completed the Alternate Certification Program to become certified to teach in Texas.

As a Special Education Teacher, my core belief is that every student holds unique strengths and capabilities. My aim is to create an environment where each individual feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. I'm excited to continue our journey of discovery and growth together this academic year.
