HI!!!!!  My name is Barbara McClanahan and I will be your child's 3rd grade teacher.  I will be teaching math and science.  This is my 18th year teaching math and science.  I have taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade.  It is going to be a great year full of fun, learning, and excitement. I have a bachelor's degree in Business Marketing from the University of Houston in Clear Lake.  I went back to school when my son was born and earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston in Clear Lake.  I am engaged to an awesome man named Dennis.  I have a daughter, a son and a daughter-n-law.  Their names are Maddie, Austin and Jessica.  Austin and Jessica have blessed me with my 10 year-old grandson named Blaine who will be in the 5th grade, and a 1 year old granddaughter named Blair.  Maddie attends Texas State University and will graduate with her Bachelor of Science degree in December.   She wants to be a Junior High School Counselor.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  It is important to keep communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need.  I look forward to a great year together.
