Welcome! My name is Amy St. John, and I just LOVE teaching! This is my 29th year teaching and my 19^th year here at APE. 

I am from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I lived and taught until I moved here to teach at Austin Parkway. Like any good southern Louisiana girl, I love LSU and Mike the Tiger. Geaux Tigers! I am married to Matt St. John, and we have two daughters, Emily and Savannah, and we are enjoying the addition of grandchildren to the family. We also have two wonderful pets: Mr. Buster Brown, our boxer/lab mix, and Minnie, our black and white cat.
 
This is a great school and a great faculty! It’s a privilege to work here. I am lucky to be teaching with such a great team of teachers. I love helping young students blossom as readers and writers. I am excited to be working with second graders again this year.
