I am so excited to be a part of the Austin Parkway Elementary School team! I was born in Clearwater, Florida and moved to Cleveland, Tennessee for high school. After college, I moved to Dalton, Georgia with my husband, Bratan. My husband and I lived in Bangkok, Thailand for 3 years. When we returned to the states, we moved to Sugar Land, Texas and have worked with FBISD for 13 years. I attended Lee University in Cleveland, TN for my Bachelors degree. I also completed my Masters degree from State University of West Georgia. I have been teaching for 24 years. I have taught 8 years in Tennessee and Georgia teaching 2nd and 5th grade. While in Thailand, I taught 1st – 3rd grade ESL at an International School in Bangkok. With FBISD, I taught at Cornerstone Elementary for 5 years in Kinder and 2nd grade. This is my 6th year at Austin Parkway. I love to travel and see new places, especially to beaches or the mountains. I also enjoy reading and music. My favorite activity is spending time with my precious little one, my son, Ellis. I am thrilled to be working with students and teachers at Austin Parkway as the campus’ Literacy Intervention Coach and hope to instill a love for literacy to all!
