Hello, my name is Lillie Davis. I am a passionate special education teacher currently working at Austin Parkway Elementary School. I am a graduate of the University of Arizona Global with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development. I discovered my passion for working with children at a young age, growing up in a large family where I often looked after younger family members. My love for children with special needs was ignited while working in a daycare as a teenager. I noticed that I particularly enjoyed working with children with diverse needs. Recognizing this, I decided to become certified and get into the classroom as soon as possible to share the love I have for working with these children. I have been working in special education for three years and it has brought me great happiness. I take pleasure in seeing my students grow and implementing personalized and student-centered learning techniques to help them achieve their goals. I strive to establish consistent daily routines that foster independence and support both academic learning and life skills development. Interacting with student families is also something I enjoy; understanding their individual needs, finding ways to help, and creating a collaborative environment to encourage student achievement. I am always excited to start a new school year, meet new families and students, and have the opportunity to work with students on their overall development. To those returning to my classroom, I am thrilled to see you again and for those whom I have not yet met, I am looking forward to building a connection with you. :)
