Hello! My name is Samantha Lannen and I am a 2nd grade Reading/ELA/Social Studies teacher at Heritage Rose Elementary. I also serve as our campus' Professional Learning Lead. Growing up, I attended Fort Bend schools, and I am so glad to now be teaching in the district. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Houston and recieved my Master’s Degree through Lamar University in Educational Leadership.

I have had the privilege of teaching at HRE since August of 2013 and truly enjoy every single day here! My teaching philosophy is based on respecting differences, tapping into talents, and sharing my love for learning with my students. I believe we all have something to contribute and I learn so much from my students each day!

My husband is my biggest supporter and we have a 3.5 year old baby girl who keeps us very busy! I am expecting our 2nd child this December. In my spare time, I enjoy working on projects around the house, working out, and spending time with my family.
