Hi! Welcome to 5th Grade! This is my 29th year teaching. I have taught second, third and fourth grade, Reading Recovery, Special Education, ESL, and 7th grade ELA. Prior to teaching middle school, I was the reading specialist at Sienna Crossing for ten years. In addition, I spent two and half years as the FBISD ELA K-2 Curriculum Coordinator. Every year has been exciting and memorable, as I have been fortunate to teach wonderful students and work with fabulous teachers.

My husband, Adrian, and I moved from Austin to the Sugar Land area in 1997. We have two children, Mackenzie and Gavin. Mackenzie graduated from Texas A&M and is now a pediatric ER nurse at Memorial Hermann – Children’s Hospital. Gavin will be a junior at Texas A&M. I am the oldest of six children, and all my family continues to live in San Antonio, where I grew up.

I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Special Education. I completed a Masters in Reading Instruction and Administration in 2001.
