Dr. Felicia Bolden
Greetings,
I am excited to serve as the principal of Brazos Bend Elementary. I have 25 years of experience in education at the elementary, intermediate, and middle school levels, as well as higher education. I have served as a 3rd, 4th, and 8th grade teacher, team leader, science specialist, technology specialist, assistant principal, principal, and adjunct instructor of research. I currently hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education with a computer literacy certificate, a Master’s degree in administration and supervision, and a Doctoral Degree in teacher leadership. I attended the University of Southwest Louisiana and Walden University for my graduate programs, and have always had a passion for education and working with students. My interests are blended learning, reading, research, presenting, student ownership of learning, small group instruction, and differentiated strategies. I truly believe a quality education for all students is the key to success. I vow to work hand in hand with all stakeholders to fulfill the mission and vision of our school community, and look forward to a positive and productive school year.

Ms. Courtney Border
I have had the amazing privilege of working in Fort Bend ISD for the last 13 years, and I am so excited to be joining the staff at Brazos Bend Elementary. I grew up in Ontario, Canada and San Antonio, Texas before making my way to Texas A&M University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Environmental Design and then attended Rice University to earn my Master of Arts in Teaching. I absolutely love learning and cannot wait to learn and grow with the students and staff at BBE.
I started my educational career as an Art Teacher at Sartartia Middle School and had the opportunity to coach several sports and sponsor a variety of clubs. I was able to continue my journey as an Assistant Principal at SMS where I have been serving for the last 5 years. I am so thankful for the students, teachers, parents and community that we work with, and I am eager to continue working with each of you as we promote a culture of academic excellence and success for all students.
I consider education to be a life-long journey and I love working with new people and learning new ideas. My hope is to inspire students to approach life with wonder and curiosity as they navigate learning in elementary school and beyond.
In my spare time, you might find me cooking, reading, playing pickleball, spending time with friends and family, or embracing my newest goal of training to run a half-marathon. I enjoy setting goals and inspiring others to do the same as we take on new challenges and encourage one another to be the best that we can be. I am so excited to be a BBE Bullfrog and cannot wait to meet each of you!
Sincerely,
Courtney Border
