Ms. Kayla Blankenship

Welcome to Ms. Blankenship's Second Grade classroom.

My name is Kayla Blankenship and I am very excited to be your child's Second Grade ELAR and Social Studies teacher for the school year!

I started teaching at Brazos Bend Elementary in 2015.  Prior to teaching at Brazos Bend I was a student teacher here in 5th grade. Brazos Bend Elementary holds a special place in my heart as I also attended this elementary school myself growing up. It was this school and its teachers that inspired me to become a teacher. 

After attending two other Fort Bend ISD schools, Sartartia Middle School and Austin High School, I went on to attend Texas A&M University. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. 

I am looking forward to a super year in Second Grade and cannot wait to work with your students.
