Welcome to Second Grade!

Hello! My name is Ms. Lanceslin, and I am thrilled to be your scholar's Math and Science teacher here at Brazos Bend Elementary. I am honored to also serve as the Second Grade Team Lead. This is my first year as part of the Brazos family, and I could not be more excited to begin the 2025–2026 school year with you. We are going to have an amazing year filled with curiosity, discovery, and a whole lot of learning!

A little about me: I am from the small town of Baldwin, Louisiana. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in General Studies from Northwestern State University and later completed my Master’s degree in Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University. Becoming an educator has been a lifelong dream, and I’m so grateful to be living that dream every day.

Outside the classroom, my greatest joy is my children. They are my world! Family is incredibly important to me, and I often travel back to Louisiana to spend time with my loved ones. I’m also an avid reader who loves getting lost in a good book, a coffee shop enthusiast, and a self-proclaimed foodie who enjoys exploring new flavors.

Teaching is truly my passion. I believe every child has limitless potential, and I’m committed to creating a classroom environment where students feel inspired, supported, and valued. Here’s to an incredible school year, we’re going to make it one to remember!
