Powitanie! Bem-vindo ! Bienvenida ! 欢迎 ! Chào mừng ! Whatever exciting language you speak…Welcome to ESL!

This is my 34th year in education, and I love it! After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Education, I went on to teach in Austin ISD, the School District of Philadelphia, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and now in Fort Bend ISD!

I opened the English as a Second Language Program here at Colony Bend Elementary in 1994 and worked with children from all over the world. I left in 2005 to work with the Bilingual and ESL campuses in FBISD, and then was lucky enough to be able to return to my “home” Colony Bend Elementary in 2013! It’s great to be back working with the little ones!

I have been married to my husband Mike for 34 years, and have been blessed with three wonderful children. My son Nicolás graduated from Texas A & M University and is married to a sweet girl from Guy, Texas. My daughter Elissa is a pediatrician practicing in San Antonio and is married to a wonderful man who travels every day from San Antonio to Austin for his job! My youngest child Catarina spends most of her time at work during the day, but finds time to entertain her “old” mother in the evenings.

I look forward to an exciting and productive year!
