I am Lauren Crittenden and I teach 5th grade Science and Social Studies.  This is my 19th year at Colony Bend Elementary School.  I have been on the fifth-grade team for 18 years.  I was the resident substitute for one year and taught ELA and Social Studies for seven years.  I have self-contained for six years and taught the Math/Science block for five years. This will be my first year teaching the Science/Social Studies block.

I am a product of Fort Bend ISD, attending schools from kindergarten through twelfth grade.  I attended Texas Southern University and finished with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology: Construction Management.  I later receive my teacher certification from the ACT Houston Alternative Certification Program.  I am currently certified as an EC through 8th grade Generalist and in the area of ESL. 

I am the 5th grade team leader and have served as a new teacher mentor for our campus eight years.   I am also, the Coding Club and Broadcasting Sponsor for our campus.  I have had the honor of serving as our Campus Teacher of the year for the 2010 and 2017 school years.
