My name is Carol Vrotny, and I received both my Bachelor of Science in Music Education K-12,  and my Master's degree in music from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I received certification in Orff Level 1 from De Paul University Chicago, Illinois, and Orff Level 2 certification from Vandercook University Chicago, Illinois. Orff is an approach used in music education. It combines movement, play, children's literature, instruments, singing, drama. It was developed by German composer Carl Orff. I have also completed Levels 1 & 2 of the Kodaly approach through the district provided summer program. The Kodaly approach is a singing approach developed by Zoltan Kodaly, Hungarian composer and educator.
