    To begin each day, students and staff recite Madden's Pledge during announcements:

  • School Hours 
     
    School doors open at 7:30 a.m.
     
    The school day begins at 8:105 a.m. and ends at 3:25 p.m. The official attendance-taking time (“snapshot”) for Madden Elementary School is 10:00 a.m. each school day. Students are expected to be in class at 10:00 a.m. 
     
    Students arriving after 10:00 a.m. will be counted absent for the day unless they have a written note from the doctor stating that they were seen that day.

    Please make your child’s safety a priority. Do not drop your child off outside of school before 7:30 a.m. since supervision will not be provided before school opens at 7:30 a.m. The extended day offers morning services starting at 6:30 a.m. For more registration information, call 281-327-2759 to speak with Ms. Bobbi.

    Breakfast is served from 7:30 – 8:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. Students are expected to be inside the classroom at 8:05 a.m. After 8:05 a.m., students are considered tardy. Breakfast will not be served after 8:05 a.m.

    Classroom Instruction begins promptly at 8:05 a.m.

    Students arriving after 8:05 a.m. are considered tardy and need a parent to accompany them into the building.

    3:25 p.m. is the dismissal time for all grade levels.
    Students are expected to go home the same way every day unless the school receives a written, dated notice changing how the student is to go home. Students will line up to go home as follows: Car Rider (parent must stay in the car and go through the drive-thru to pick the student up), Walker/Biker, Daycare, and Bus Rider. Students and parents should have a plan for how the student goes home for rainy-day dismissals.
