How many college visit days am I allotted per year?

Students may miss up to TWO days per school year for campus visits or TSI testing.

How do I ensure these visits are excused?

Most universities will have a standardized letter for campus visits.  Within 2 days of the absence, students must turn in a signed letter from the university verifying their campus visit.  All excuse letters must be signed in at the attendance office.

Do these absences count toward exemptions?

No, if you follow the procedure above, absences do not count against you.  However, we do encourage students to consider making college visits in the summer, before second semester begins, during spring break, or on weekends. Most colleges have Saturday events in which you can visit the campus with other prospective students.
