Welcome!!! My name is Brittney Stewart. I am honored to teach 5th grade at Brazos Bend Elementary School this year. I am looking forward to watching your child flourish as a reader, writer, scientist, mathematician, and historian. Last year was my first in Fort Bend and I love it here! I taught 5th grade at Cornerstone Elementary last year and 6th grade Reading and Language Arts in Cypress Fairbanks ISD the year before. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Houston. Go Coogs!!!!!!! I enjoy crossword puzzles, painting, reading, and listening to NPR.

As a teacher, my goal is to inspire in my students a deep love for learning, cultivating a spirit of initiative and drive that will last a lifetime. I hope to guide my students in developing a growth mindset. I believe that it is of utmost importance that children receive an education, which builds on prior knowledge and experience, as well as individual talents and interests, creating a springboard for a superior level of personal achievement throughout life.

5th graders change and grow so much before they leave Brazos Bend for that big move to middle school.  I look forward to a successful and productive year working with your child. I love teaching and thoroughly enjoy going to work each and every day!
