Hello! My name is Rajashri Joshi, and I am excited to be a part of the GBHS community as a Mathematics teacher. I have been teaching for 5 years and truly enjoy helping students discover that math is not just about numbers, but also about problem-solving, creativity, and perseverance.

This year I will be teaching students AP Precalculus, Precalculus OnRamps and AAC Algebra 2. In addition to my classroom teaching, I serve as an AP Precalculus Reader for the College Board, where I evaluate AP Precalculus exams from students nationwide. This experience keeps me connected to national standards and best practices, and allows me to bring valuable insights back to my students.

In my classroom, I strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel confident to take risks, ask questions, and grow from mistakes. My goal is to help every student see the relevance of math in everyday life and develop the skills they need for future success.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pune, India. Outside the classroom, I enjoy singing, painting, sewing, gardening and cooking for my family. I lived in Singapore for 10 years before moving to Sugar Land in 2017.
