My name is Chastity Gonzalez and I am the ECSE inclusion teacher at Pecan Grove Elementary. This will be my 20th year in education and I have experience in resource/inclusion classrooms, LIFE Skills classrooms, and co-teaching. I look forward to another school year of learning and growing as a teacher and a leader, as well as cultivating a love of learning to all the students at PGE.

My husband and I have been married for 24 years and we have lived in Katy for 20 years. I grew up in Aransas Pass, a small town in South Texas known for its annual festival called “The Shrimporee!” I attribute my passion for teaching to my teachers, who encouraged me to push the boundaries of my learning beyond the boundaries of my community while keeping my roots and values close to my heart.

I graduated from The University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio with a BA in Organizational Development. Upon moving to the Houston area, I made the decision to get my alternative certification so I could begin teaching. 

I will work tirelessly, advocating for my students to ensure they receive high quality instruction and the intervention they need. I pride myself on making my classroom a safe, learner-centered environment in which my students feel supported and encouraged to be the best they can be.
