Hello Fifth Grade Families!

My name is Rachel Mahnke, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I will be teaching ELA and Social Studies to your students in our 5th grade classroom.

This is my 4th year teaching and my 1st year teaching at Pecan Grove Elementary. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of working with some amazing 2nd and 3rd grade students, and I can’t wait to continue that tradition with this wonderful 5th grade group. I love making learning engaging, interactive, and meaningful—helping students feel confident and ready for middle school.

I am truly looking forward to getting to know each child’s unique strengths and working together with you to make this a fantastic school year. Fifth grade is such an exciting time filled with growth, challenges, and new opportunities, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!
