Hello! I am Ms. Macklin and I am super excited to join the Lantern Lane family as a 4th grade ELAR and Social Studies teacher. I originally hail from the great state of Michigan, where I earned a bachelor’s of social work from the University of Michigan. I decided to change my career during the pandemic, and in 2020 I pursued my childhood dream of becoming a teacher and obtained my Texas teaching certification. I come to LLE with over 10 years experience in mental health and 5 years in education. Outside of being called Ms. Macklin in the classroom, I am also called Mom by 4 amazing children. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and trying new restaurants. I’m am grateful to be joining LLE and excited about our impending success together.
