My name is Carmen R. Harris and I am the Campus Compliance Coordinator here at Lantern Lane Elementary.  I taught Special Education for 14 ½ years and I am certified in the area of Special Education EC-12. This is my fifteenth year as an educator, and my thirteenth year in FBISD.  I guess you could say that I’ve been in Fort Bend ISD most of my life, because I attended Briargate Elementary School, Missouri City Junior High School, and I’m a proud graduate of Willowridge High School.  I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Houston, then my graduate degree in Educational Counseling from Prairie View A & M University. I am the proud mother of two wonderful boys, Jaylen and Jordan.  Both of them attend school here in FBISD. 

I’m proud to be a Yellow Jacket, and I look forward to this exciting year with the students here at Lantern Lane Elementary.  Every year is a promise of growth and learning through ambition and determination.
