They say it takes a village to raise a child. My name is Ms. Nguyen and I am so honored to be one of those people as your kindergarten teacher this school year! I look forward to all the memories we will make together.

I graduated from UH with a degree in Teaching and Learning. I am ESL and GT certified. I’ve taught kinder my entire teaching career! It is my passion and favorite age group to work with. I’m also a graduate from the Early Childhood Literacy Leadership Academy, a 3-year certification program at Rice University designed to gather professionals committed to serving as teacher leaders from their classrooms. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in early childhood education at Concordia University Chicago. I believe in the power of story and literacy. Everything I do in my room is centered around the children and what is developmentally appropriate for them--this includes play-based learning!

In my free time, I enjoy going out to eat, thrift shopping, and crafting. I'm also crazy for my cat, Powder!
