I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. I studied percussion performance at Truman State University and music education at the University of Oklahoma. I moved to Texas for my first teaching job in 2009 as a percussion specialist at Kountze ISD. Since then I have been a band director and an elementary music teacher. I love teaching elementary music, and I am excited to be a part the team at SBE.  In my free time I am a member of Kaminari Taiko. I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two kids, and our two basset hounds.
