Hello everyone! For those who may not know me, I’m Alex Capece, and I’m thrilled to be embarking on my 10th year of teaching here at Sonal Bhuchar. I previously taught with HISD for 8 years but made the switch last year, when I moved into Sienna. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding many young minds through the exciting journey of learning to read, and this year promises to be just as rewarding.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders (Speech Pathology) from Texas A&M University - Kingsville. I always knew I wanted to work with children so I received my alternative certification after graduating. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our families on the weekends. You can typically find us exploring Houston or at an Astros game. 

In my 3rd grade classroom, reading isn’t just a skill; it’s a gateway to exploration, imagination, and understanding. Together, we’ll dive into captivating stories, decode mysteries within texts, and discover the joy of fluency and comprehension. Whether it’s uncovering the magic of words or building our reading stamina, I’m committed to fostering an environment where each student can thrive.
