My name is Trenise Gaston, and I'm really excited about teaching 5th grade Reading, English Language Arts, and Social Studies. I look forward to a great year of learning adventures with all my students. I am excited about partnering with my students' parents, as well.  I am a true believer in educating the whole child. I strive to not only make my students stronger academically, but I also strive for character building.  As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Intelligence plus character is the goal of education."

A little bit about me:

I am a proud product of Fort Bend Independent School District as I attended Briargate Elementary School, Missouri City Middle School, and Willowridge High School (Willowridge graduating class of 1989).  I have served scholars as a classroom teacher, Gifted and Talented Coordinator, Reading Interventionist, Odyssey of the Mind Coach, National Elementary and Junior Honor Society sponsor, and more during these past 31 years.  During my 31 years as an educator, I have also been named campus Teacher of the Year five times. I enjoy spending quality and precious time with my daughter, my family, and dear friends. I enjoy going to church, and my hobbies include reading, dancing, line dancing, listening to music, going to stageplays, and learning new things through traveling.
