Welcome, students and parents! My name is Ms. Waldrep, and I am thrilled to be your kindergarten teacher this year. I look forward to an exciting and productive year together at Alyssa Ferguson Elementary.

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in 2007 with a degree in Education. In 2015, I earned my masters in Reading. In addition, I have Reading Specialist and ESL certificates.

I want to encourage my students to discover their individual strengths.  I will show my students how to ‘own their own learning.’  I love to get to know my students by listening to their stories.  I try to make the lessons engaging through hands-on activities.
