Hello Fireflies! I'm Mrs. Kelly and I am so excited to be your 1st grade ELAR and Social Studies teacher at Alyssa Ferguson Elementary this year. I love picture books and have a very large collection. I can't wait to share my favorites with you!

I'm a proud HBCU graduate of Oakwood University where I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I was awarded the Dedicated Teacher Award in 2016 and the Teacher of Excellence Award in 2023.

I have always wanted to be a teacher and am happy to be living this dream come true. I believe that all students can learn and that learning should be a fun and engaging experience. I look forward to joining you on this amazing learning and growing journey.
