Hi! 

My name is Kristi Nelson and I am so excited to be teaching art at Alyssa Ferguson Elementary School this year! 

I was born and raised in Houston, Tx and found my love and passion for art during my high school years at Jersey Village High School.

I went on to study art at the University of Houston, majoring in Studio Arts with a minor in Art History. I became a certified k-12 art teacher through Texas Teachers. 

I am a wife, a mother of 3, a runner and a lover of all things color! I am the author and illustrator of the portrait book, Masked Heroes, which paid tribute to many of the frontline workers right here in Sienna. 

I love this community and am truly invested in making it the best place for our children. 

I LOVE to create and am looking forward to a fun filled year with all of you in my Creative Firefly Art Studio this year!
