Hello!

My name is Kelly Ward, and I am so excited to be one of Alyssa Ferguson Elementary's 5th grade Math and Science teachers! This is my second year as a Firefly, and I absolutely love helping students discover their potential and grow. 

I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a degree in Child & Adolescent Psychology, and it has always been my dream to become a teacher.

My goal is to create a safe and welcoming classroom where students feel respected, valued, and inspired to do their best and shine bright. I strive to make learning engaging by connecting concepts to real-world experiences, so students can see the “why” behind what we learn. I also believe in encouraging skills such as collaboration and perseverance that help children thrive both in and out of the classroom. Here is to a great school year!
