I began my teaching career in 2014 after graduating from Prairie View A&M University. Currently, I teach Math and Science, having previously spent four years at HISD and before that, at the School of Science and Technology. During the pandemic, I adapted to hybrid teaching and became tech-savvy, incorporating virtual manipulatives into my math lessons. I attended several trainings on synchronous and asynchronous teaching, which introduced me to various AI tools for the classroom. These tools, ranging from Alexa to I-Ready and my favorite, Quizizz, have become integral to my teaching approach. My passion for integrating technology into education has only grown, and I’m now pursuing a master’s in Educational Leadership with a focus on Technology. The impact of technology has significantly shaped my teaching style, and I especially enjoy using small group instruction. I’m excited for the upcoming year and all the possibilities it holds!!
