Hello, fireflies! 

My name is Lindsey Fortner. I am a 5th grade Reading/Language Arts and Social Studies teacher here at Alyssa Ferguson Elementary, and I am so excited to be here and be a part of this awesome community. I graduated from Liberty University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical and Educational Studies. 

Outside of teaching, I love to be with my family, watch sports (BIG fan of the Texas Rangers, Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys!!), read a good book or travel. 

I love being a teacher and getting to see my students grow and succeed throughout the year. This is going to be a fun year of learning and growing. So, let's shine bright, fireflies!
