My name is Stephanie Hampton and I am very excited to be your child's 3rd grade Reading/ELA & Social Studies teacher this year!
Background: I was born and raised in Hobart, Indiana. My dad's job moved us to Marietta, Georgia when I was 15. After I graduated from Pope High School, I attended Kennesaw University and I played trumpet in the Georgia Tech Band. I earned a degree in Early Childhood Education in 1996. I had the pleasure of teaching for 9 years before I took some time off to raise my family. After my boys were old enough to start school, I returned to teaching part time in 2010. Georgia Schools gave me the experience of teaching Pre-K, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, EIP and Computer Lab (K-5th). My husband's job relocated our family to Richmond, Texas in February of 2015. I taught 1st grade at Oakland for one year and this is my 5th year teaching at Neill. This will be my 18th year of teaching.
Family: I met my husband when we were in the Georgia Tech Band together. We have been married for 17 years and we have two sons. Drew is a sophomore and Jack is a freshman at Travis High School. Both of my sons are in the Travis Tiger Band. We also have a 5 year old dog named Odin and a 1 year old dog named Scout.
Hobbies: I enjoy gardening, camping, reading, baking and doing crafts.
