FAMILY SERIES - OCTOBER CHALLENGE
Registration deadline: October 8th
The GT department invites families of gifted students to participate in the monthly GT Family Challenge Series. The challenge theme for the month of October is "Built to Perfection." Building challenges allows students to use critical thinking skills while exploring their own ideas and connecting them to the world around them. For this challenge, gifted students (grades 1-12) will choose from a list of activities based on their interests and build a product. Students are asked to email a video and/or photos of their final product to email@example.com no later than Monday, October 25, 2021.

NEILL GT CLUB
(for students currently in the FBISD GT program at Neill)
This year, Neill will be offering a GT Club specifically geared to the needs of the students in the FBISD GT program. This club will enable students to work with their GT peers, help facilitate the TPSP project, and offer guidance for the GT Learning Plans. Identified GT students will meet twice a month to engage in STEAM challenges and check in on the progress of their projects. The club will meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 4-5:30 p.m., beginning Oct. 4th. The GT club is optional. GT students who cannot attend will still qualify for the FBISD GT program as long as they complete the required TPSP project this year. Teachers will continue to facilitate projects in the classroom.
