Welcome, Neill Longhorns!
From a young age, I knew I wanted to become a teacher. Inspiring, supporting, and guiding young learners is truly my passion, and I am thrilled to begin another exciting school year with my new group of 3rd Grade Longhorns!
This year marks my 24th year in education. I spent 15 years teaching in Cy-Fair ISD, where I taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades, as well as served as a Math Interventionist. I am now beginning my 9th wonderful year at Neill Elementary and couldn’t be happier to continue growing with this community.
Outside of the classroom, I have been fortunate to be involved in several meaningful volunteer opportunities. For 10 summers, I served as a Diabetes Medical Assistant at the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville, where I monitored blood sugars and administered insulin to campers. I am also a proud Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. During my time volunteering there, I was honored to receive both Committee Member of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards—an experience I value deeply due to the organization’s strong commitment to education.
I currently live in Richmond with my amazing husband and two wonderful daughters, Ashlyn (14) and Kaleigh (10). When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and making memories together.
I’m looking forward to a fantastic year filled with learning, laughter, and growth. Let’s make it a great one—Go Longhorns!
