I have been a music teacher for thirteen years and I LOVE being a Neill Longhorn!  I began working with students when I was in college, teaching private lessons and working with marching bands at local schools. I have taught students of all ages – from Kindergarten through College. I have been a lifelong musician since I started taking piano in the first grade. I was very active in band and continued on to march in drum and bugle corps over the summer and participate in marching band while in college. I have toured the country and performed with music groups and professional symphonies. I have a Music and Business degree from the University of Oklahoma, a Masters in Percussion Performance and my teaching certificate from Texas Tech University. Before teaching, I worked in the Music Industry doing marketing and public relations for a drum stick and mallet manufacturer. I worked with performers and educators of all levels and designed products to use in the classroom.

My husband is a Percussion Specialist and teaches at Clements High School, Sartartia Middle School and Fort Settlement Middle School. My daughter attends Clements High School and is also in the band playing percussion. We love living close to the school and seeing all of our school friends on weekends.
