Succeeding in Academic and Independent Living Skills
SAILS are skills that are important for day-to-day living. Functional, Vocational, and Academic Skills are all important in ensuring both a successful and productive life. Our SAILS classroom here at Barrington Place Elementary is patient and understanding of every individual student and family. Repetition, review, and regular reinforcements are all a very important part of our SAILS classroom.
Just a tad bit about who I am, I am a dog mother to a fur doggie; Millie, whom I adopted from the animal shelter. I recently moved to Houston from San Antonio, where I graduated from Texas A&M at San Antonio, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education. I spent a few years teaching special education students that were mainstream with general education students at a middle school. Every day is always different, that is why I love teaching. My philosophy is that all individuals are capable of many things in life; it just requires more time, effort, and patience.
