Hello Longhorn family,

I’m Leslie Champ, and I am thrilled to serve as the 4th and 5th grade ELAR Resource Teacher. I am grateful to be part of a community and school that values positivity and support for both students and staff. I graduated from Texas A&M–San Antonio with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in Special Education EC–12, with dual certification as a Generalist EC–6. This year marks my 10th year in education and my 8th year with FBISD.

I believe every student is capable of success; it just takes time, effort, and patience. What I love most about teaching is that each day brings new experiences with our students, which makes the work so meaningful. I’m also a proud wife to Mr. Champ, who teaches in our district, and a mom to our son Corey Je and daughter Layla Marie. My husband and I met in FBISD during COVID when two schools came together, making us an FBISD love story. We are proud to be an FBISD family and feel blessed by the support of our district and community.
