Neill is working to become a "No Place for Hate" Campus

  • Neill is proud to be working to become an Anti-Defamation League “No Place for Hate” school.

We are committed in making our campus a safe school with a culture that values all students and staff. We encourage you to visit this page often to see the amazing things that we are doing to:

    • Build an inclusive and safe community in which respect is the goal, and all students can thrive.
    • Empower students, faculty, administration and family members to take a stand against hate and bullying by incorporating new and existing programs under one powerful message.
    • Engage our school and community through the implementation of at least three campus-wide anti-bias activities per year, which ADL helps to develop.
    • Send clear, unified message that all students have a place to belong.

We have a No Place For Hate Coalition, which is working together to plan our activities for the year!

Activity #1: Anti-Bullying Week

  • Students dressed up each day with different themes to remind them to think about bully prevention.  We loved seeing their creativity each day.  Our Counselor taught guidance lessons to all classes using the book Have You Filled A Bucket Today?  Students learned about being bucket fillers, not bucket dippers.  At Neill we want to fill every students bucket with kindness.  Bullies often dip into others' buckets by being mean, taking away their joy.  We discussed ways we can be bucket fillers.  The most exciting part of the week was when our guest speaker, Toro, from the Houston Texans came to teach our student body about bullying and "How to take the Bull Out Of Bullying."  He was great, and the kids learned a great deal about bullying prevention!
