I am very pleased to serve as principal of Palmer Elementary. This a great school with wonderful students and an outstanding staff.  I began my teaching career in January of 1993 in Fort Bend ISD.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction, and Master of Education in Administration & Supervision  from the University of Houston Central Campus. Over the course of my career, my focus has been working with children by building trust, talent, responsibility, and respect. My husband and I have one daughter who attends a Fort Bend ISD school. I'm vested in this school and district, wanting the very best for your child and mine.  I look forward to a strong working relationship with the families in this neighborhood as we strive to ensure academic excellence for all of our students. I am a proud graduate of Willowridge High School in Fort Bend ISD. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications from Dillard University and a Master's Degree in Counseling from Houston Baptist University. Over the years, I have been an elementary school teacher, a teacher development and content specialist throughout the Houston area and in Fort Bend ISD.

I believe that schools have a unique opportunity to support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development of all students through relevant teaching of content standards, positive interactions between members of the school community, and setting and maintaining high expectations for learning and behavior. This philosophy of reaching the whole child is a part of the approach to teaching and learning at Palmer Elementary, which makes me feel fortunate be a member of this team. When not working to support students and teachers, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children.
