Ms. Adriane Hudson
I've been at Palmer for almost 11 years, which includes my final semester of student teaching. I graduated from the University of Houston, Downtown. I started my career in corporate America for 20 years, but I have always known in my heart, since I was a child, that I wanted to be a teacher. I went back to school and received my degree in education. I was older than some of my classmates. Through the program, I had the opportunity to observe great teachers along with students teaching in three different districts and my third district was Fort Bend. I completed my last semester of student teaching at Palmer and I'm still here! It was a great honor to be named Palmer's Teacher of the Year 2016-2017. Sometimes you have to go down several paths before finding the path that you should really and truly be on. I finally got on that path that I knew I was meant to be on.
I am the youngest of four children, one being my twin brother. I have nine nephews, four nieces, five great nephews and seven great nieces. I love being around family and enjoy every moment I get to spend with them! I love our family game nights because it brings us all together to enjoy each other's company and to have fun!
I love my job as a teacher because I believe it is so important that every child has the opportunity to learn and to learn something new every day. I see something great in each and every child I cross paths with. Each day I do my best to make learning fun, interesting and exciting for my students. If the children I teach see how excited I am about teaching them, I know that they will be excited about learning. Children love to have fun, so why can't they have fun learning?
"The beautiful thing about learning is no one can take it away from you."
