Hello! My name is Annie Whittaker and I love teaching math. Before my educational career began, I served one term in the United States Army. During my contract, I served one deployment tour to Camp Arifjuan, Kuwait.  My job in the Army was "Finance Technician". 

I have been an educator for 10 years and have been dedicated to elementary math for 8 years. I have my B.S. from the University of Houston with a conferred degree in Psychology and a minor in African American Studies (Spring 2014). I have a master's degree from Lamar University with a degree in Teacher Leadership (Spring 2023). I am married with 4 children, and our family has a pet dog named Ayo! My hope and dreams are to cultivate the next generation of critical thinkers and world changers. 

I have a very diverse background and plan on sharing many of my life lessons and experiences with my students. The most important part of education is family, community and school partnerships.
