Welcome to 1st. Grade! My name is Harshada Bawiskar. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from India as well as a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Akron, Ohio. My experience in working with children began in India and continued to Illinois and now Texas. I have been teaching at APE since 2014. I have been married for 26 years and have a lovely family consisting of my husband and two beautiful girls. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, gardening, working out and reading.

I believe that children are special and unique in their own way and as a teacher, I enjoy working with each child’s learning style to meet his or her own potential. I love to teach and I love seeing my first graders’ smiling faces each day.  

I am ecstatic to be a 1st. Grade Math/Science teacher and be a part of the APE family. I look forward to working with your little ones as well as with you all this coming year.
