Welcome to 5th Grade! My name is Leticia Govea, and I teach reading, language arts and social studies. I am very excited about being your child's teacher and look forward to a great school year.

I was born and raised here in Houston. As a child I attended FBISD schools and even graduated from Elkins High School. I received a Bachelor of Science from The University of Houston. This is my 21st year teaching, all of which has been here in Fort Bend ISD. This is my eighth year at DLE.

My husband Ben and I have two boys, Brandon and Alex. Brandon is a sophomore at Ridge Point High School, and Alex is a 6th grader at Thornton Middle School. On the weekends, you can find me dining out, shopping or relaxing with my family. I love crafts of all types, cooking, shopping and lounging. 

I'm looking forward to a great year and making your child's last year in elementary a memorable one. I truly am blessed to be at The Greatest Place to Be and teach The Greatest Students.
