Hello! My name is Amber Strader, and I enjoy teaching math and science. I previously taught 5th grade math and science and also 3rd grade math and science. I have been in education for over 15 years and have experience teaching Pre-K and 3rd through 8th grade. I have previously coached middle school soccer and also was a theater teacher. Teaching is my passion. I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was in third grade. My desire is to inspire students to be lifelong learners and bring joy to learning! 

I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have a wonderful husband and three amazing children, Nora age 12, JJ age 8, and Imani age five. Together with my family, we previously lived in Kenya, East Africa. I can speak Swahili fluently. In our free time, we enjoy visiting parks and meeting new friends. 

Sea turtles are my favorite animal, and green is my favorite color! I am excited to be a BBE Bullfrog where we enjoy wearing green and frogs can be seen! Go Bullfrogs!

I look forward to a wonderful year in first grade, spending time getting to know my students and their families as we enjoy learning and exploring science and math together this year!!
