I am so excited to be apart of Dulles Elementary. It is my 11th year here and I am ready to be Powered by Purpose!!
I was born in Pittsburgh, PA, but by the time I was 5, I had made it to the great state of Texas. I really consider myself a TEXAN and very proud.
Growing up in Houston, I went to school on the southwest side. It was Mackenzine Clark, my second grade teacher at Andy Anderson, that sparked my intest in becoming a teacher. I know it was her colored chalk and centers that made teaching look so fun. After graduation from High School, I went to Stephen F. Austin State University. I majored in Speech/Language Pathology and Special Education. After graduation I came back to the Houston area where I got my first job in Deer Park, where I worked as an elementary/junior high speech therapist, from there to HISD doing special education classroom teaching. In January of 2009, I arrived here at Dulles Elementary. I have enjoyed every minute so far.
When I am not at Dulles, I enjoying being with family and friends, and baseball. I am the proud mother of a son that has graduated from SFA and will be getting married this fall. I am so looking forward to what happens next for him.
I have been teaching for 30 years!!! I love teaching and I am so proud to be a VIKING.
I know that this year will be GREAT!! Power UP!!
