Me llamo Kim Valera.  Soy maestro de estudiantes en tercer grado bilingüe.  Estudié en Franklin College of Indiana para mi bachillerato en educación primaria, y recibí mi maestria en educación bilingúe de la Universidad de St. Thomas en Houston.  Tengo certificaciones en educación primaria, Kindergarten, educación bilingúe y administración.  He estado trabajando en el sistema público de educación, en el área de Houston, hace 28 años.  Comenzé mi carrera en educación como maestro de Kindergarten.  He enseñado Kindergarten, 1er – 4o grados, aparte de haber sido coordinadora del programa título 1, subdirectora y directora de una escuela primaria y subdirectora de una escuela secundaria.  He tenido la muy buena fortuna de haber estado enseñando en la escuela primaria Arizona Fleming hace 9 años, como maestra de grados K, 1, 2, 4 y ahora 3.  Me encanta trabajar con mis estudiantes, inspirándolos a siempre hacer su mejor esfuerzo.  Me puede contactar por correo electrónico en kimbelry.valera@fortbendisd.com.

My name is Kim Valera.  I teach bilingual third grade students.  I earned my bachelors degree in elementary education from Franklin College in Indiana, and I received my masters degree in bilingual education from the University of St. Thomas in Houston.  I have certifications in Texas for elementary education, Kindergarten, bilingual education and administration.  I have been serving students in the public school system in the Houston area for 28 years.  I began my career as a kindergarten teacher in Houston.  I have taught Kindergarten, 1^st grade, 2^nd grade, 3^rd grade and 4^th grade, as well as being a Title I coordinator, elementary assistant principal, elementary principal and high school assistant principal.  I have been fortunate to be serving the children at Arizona Fleming for the past 9 years, teaching K, 1^st, 2^nd, 4^th  and now 3rd grades.  I love working with my students to help them become the very best they can be.  You can contact me through email at kimberly.valera@fortbendisd.com.
