My name is Noelle Stecher, and I will be your child's 3rd grade teacher this year!  I have been teaching in 4th grade, but I am very excited to be at Commonwealth this year in third grade.  I grew up in Iowa and gained my Bachelors degree in elementary education from St. Ambrose University.  I also gained a Master's degree in curriculum and instruction from North Central College in Naperville, IL.  After teaching for 9 years in the suburbs of Chicago, I moved to Texas to escape the Midwest winters! In Texas, I have taught at River Oaks Elementary IB World School in HISD and at River Oaks Baptist in Houston.  

In my free time, I enjoy traveling the world and keeping up my tennis game.  I love being a teacher and coming to school each day to watch my students grow and change!  I look forward to a fabulous year of collaboration with my team, students and parents.
